The Serpenti 102098, seen from the bench

The Bulgari Serpenti Tubogas Two Tone Black Diamond is an iconic watch combining two-tone rose gold and steel with a sinuous Tubogas bracelet of intertwined metal links. The model features a black diamond dial and integrates a specialized attachment system. Milano Straps offers bespoke customization through Atelier Casati Milano, selecting fine leathers such as Mississippi alligator or Swift to harmonize with the watch's elegant metallic architecture.

Frequently asked questions

Can a standard strap be fitted to the Bulgari Serpenti 102098?

No, the Tubogas bracelet is integrated into the case: the attachment is proprietary and a standard strap won't fit. I've seen many attempts that damage the watch. If you want to change it, I craft a bespoke strap directly at the atelier.

How does the bespoke strap work for this model?

I work only at Casati Milano, by appointment. I take measurements directly from the case and your wrist, then shape the terminal for a millimetre-perfect integration. It's the only way to honour the Serpenti's geometry.

Which leather do you recommend for the Bulgari Serpenti?

I prefer Mississippi alligator in rose or Swift in mauve. This Serpenti has an elegant, sensual character: the leather must breathe with that energy, not compete with the bracelet. Alligator ages beautifully, becoming softer over years.

How long does a well-made strap last?

It depends on use and care. With precious leather, I see 3–5 years of daily wear before a replacement. The leather changes, develops a patina, the colour evolves: it's natural. Treat it well—no water, no perfume—and it lasts longer, ageing wonderfully.

Why is the Tubogas bracelet so difficult to replicate?

Because every link is woven without soldering, built entirely by hand. I spent years understanding this technique. The strap must respect that same dedication: which is why I never cut corners in the atelier. The Serpenti deserves only craftsmanship.

The next step

The right strap isn't chosen. It is built, together.

From the atelier appointment to delivery, every step is made for those who know that things done well take time. Rare leathers, one piece at a time, eighteen months of warranty.
