The Octo 102955, seen from the bench

The Bulgari Octo Finissimo Platinum is an octagonal sports watch in platinum that embodies Roman heritage and contemporary geometry. Featuring eight precise sides and an integrated bracelet fused with the case, this timepiece represents architectural precision on the wrist. The lug-to-lug measurement and technical specifications reflect Bulgari's design philosophy of uncompromising geometric form.

Frequently asked questions

Can a standard strap be fitted to the Bulgari Octo 102955?

No, the bracelet is integrated into the case: there is no proprietary lug where a conventional strap would attach. The Octo is born with this bracelet fused to the octagonal body. If you want to change it, the only intelligent path is through Casati Milano, where I craft a bespoke strap directly onto your case.

How does the bespoke strap process work at Atelier Casati Milano?

You book an appointment with me, and I measure directly from your Octo's case: height, thickness, geometry of the octagonal attachment. No standard sheets. The strap is built onto your watch, millimetre by millimetre. Book a session here: we work by appointment only.

Which leather would you recommend for this model?

Mississippi Alligator. This watch carries a sporty-elegant character, built in platinum: the alligator's grain pattern dialogues perfectly with the severe geometry of the case, without surrendering to unnecessary softness. It ages beautifully, and the platinum enhances it further over time.

How long does a well-made strap last?

With proper care, 4–5 years of daily wear. The leather breathes, shifts colour, develops its own patina. It's not death: it's ageing. Avoid salt water, dry it after rain, and occasionally apply a neutral cream. The platinum will last forever; the leather, instead, lives and tells the story of who wore it.

Why is the Octo's integrated bracelet not a limitation?

It's the opposite: it's its genetic code. Eight sides, a bracelet that becomes an extension of the case, no compromise. Replacing it with a standard strap would be like replacing the roof of a baroque church with glass. The Octo speaks an architectural language: a bespoke strap amplifies it, respects it, completes it.
