The Octo 102714, seen from the bench

The Bulgari Octo reference 102714 is equipped with the BVL 128 SK caliber with indication of hours, minutes, small seconds, and power reserve. The movement has a skeletonized configuration that highlights the internal mechanics. The watch maintains the characteristic octagonal geometric lines typical of the Octo collection.

Frequently asked questions

Can I fit a standard strap on the Bulgari Octo 102714?

No, the bracelet is integrated into the case and the lug attachment has a proprietary octagonal geometry. A conventional strap won't fit. This is where craftsmanship steps in: I build the strap bespoke in the atelier, shaping each attachment to dialogue perfectly with the sharp edges of the titanium case.

How does the bespoke strap work for this model?

I work by appointment only at Casati Milano, our atelier at Via XX Settembre 15 in Milan. I take measurements directly from the case, analyse the octagonal geometry and craft the strap around that specific architecture. It's not an adaptation — it's crafted thinking.

Which leather would I recommend for the Octo 102714?

Mississippi alligator in smoke-anthracite tone. This model carries a sportive-elegant character, geometric and contemporary, and alligator absorbs that hardness without becoming cold. The natural texture dialogues with the sharp edges of the case. For those who prefer warmth: naturally aged Barenia, which develops a noble patina over years.

How long does a well-made strap last?

With conscious use, eight to ten years minimum. Longevity depends on care: avoid prolonged moisture, don't force the buckles, let the leather breathe when you take it off. An alligator or Barenia strap ages beautifully if treated with respect — every scratch tells the story of your time with the watch.

Why does the Octo need a strap built in an atelier?

Because Gérald Genta designed the case as a complete architectural work: eight perfect sides, sharp edges, geometry that admits no compromise. A generic strap betrays this formal purity. Building it by hand, respecting that geometry, is the only way to preserve the integrity of the original design.
