A strap is entirely achievable, built bespoke directly on the watch by <a href="/pages/casati-booking">Casati Milano</a>, with real lug measurements taken on the actual piece and sartorial construction tailored to that specific case.

The craftsman at Casati Milano works with the watch physically present in the atelier, recording the lug geometry, the transition curve and the wrist drop angle. The strap is then constructed on those actual dimensions, ensuring a fit free of play or tension. The session also covers leather selection, buckle or deployant choice, and stitching finish.

The onyx dial and black ceramic case call for leathers capable of holding their own against that chromatic depth: polished black alligator echoes the white gold lugs, while slate grey or midnight blue introduce a less predictable tonal variation. For a more contemporary, everyday character, fine-grain vulcanised rubber maintains visual coherence with the ceramic texture.

A strap crafted from first-grade hides with hand stitching, worn on a regular rotation, develops a progressive patina while retaining structure and shape for many years. Longevity depends on the leather chosen, exposure to moisture and perspiration, and routine care: periodic conditioning with a suitable cream extends the life of the hide considerably.
