The CODE 11.59 26393CR.OO.A002KB.01, seen from the bench

The CODE 11.59 was introduced by Audemars Piguet in 2019 as the brand's new contemporary collection. It features the automatic AP 4401 caliber with flyback chronograph and column-wheel functions, as well as hour, minute and date indication. The reference 26393CR.OO.A002KB.01 has an octagonal case architecture characteristic of the Le Brassus manufacture.

Frequently asked questions

Can a standard strap be fitted to the Audemars Piguet CODE 11.59 26393CR.OO.A002KB.01?

No. The bracelet is integrated into the case and the attachment is a proprietary Audemars Piguet system. A standard strap simply will not connect. The only way forward is to build a bespoke attachment directly on the watch, here in the atelier.

How does the bespoke strap process work for this model?

Everything is done by appointment only at <a href="/pages/casati-booking">Casati Milano</a>, in Via XX Settembre 15, Milan. I take measurements from the actual case at the bench — not from photographs or spec sheets. I model the leather by hand, curve by curve, with the watch in front of me.

Which leather do I recommend for this CODE 11.59?

For a case combining white and rose gold, my clear preference is Mississippi alligator in a deep midnight blue, or natural Barenia in honey tones. Alligator holds its own against the architectural complexity of the case without competing with it. Barenia develops a patina over time that works beautifully with the warmth of the rose gold.

How long does a well-made strap last on a watch of this calibre?

With a top-grade leather and proper construction, I would count on at least five to eight years of regular wear. Care is straightforward: avoid prolonged water exposure, apply a little neutral cream every few months. Alligator and Barenia do not age badly — they age well, gaining character with every year.

What makes the CODE 11.59 so different from the rest of Audemars Piguet's output?

The case is built in multiple layers: the geometry shifts depending on the angle of light, the lugs are fluid and the sapphire crystal is unusually domed. Audemars Piguet took the opposite direction from the Royal Oak — less rigid geometry, more sculptural volume. When I look at it closely at the bench, you can see how carefully every transition between the planes has been considered.
