To verify, measure from the inner edge of the upper lug to the lower lug, parallel to the dial. Strap replacement on a 44mm watch with 20mm lugs requires a spring bar tool. Insert the tool's tip into the under-lug hole, apply gentle pressure towards the case centre to compress the spring bar, then withdraw the strap. Repeat for the lower lug. For installation, insert the spring bar into the new strap's passant, compress with the tool and seat into the lug slots, releasing pressure gradually. Never force: a timepiece of this calibre deserves delicate handling.
