No. The bracelet is integrated into the case with a proprietary attachment system: a standard strap simply will not fit. Changing the strap on this model requires fully bespoke work, built directly on the watch. I do this in the atelier, never remotely.

I work through <a href="/pages/casati-booking">Casati Milano</a>, by appointment only, at Via XX Settembre 15 in Milan. I bring the watch to the bench, take measurements directly from the case and shape each lug attachment by hand to respect the angular geometry of the case. There is no template: every strap is built from scratch on that specific piece.

I recommend fine-grain Mississippi Alligator in midnight blue or anthracite. The Gondolo has an architectural, restrained character: a leather with a controlled texture and a sober colour does not compete with the case lines, it accompanies them. Deep bordeaux is a valid alternative for those who want a touch of personality without upsetting the balance of the piece.

With regular care, a quality alligator strap lasts five to eight years of daily wear, and longer if alternated. Quality leather does not deteriorate: it ages, changes, takes the shape of the wrist. I recommend keeping it away from prolonged water exposure and letting it breathe between uses.

The name recalls the historic partnership between Patek Philippe and the Gondolo brothers, importers and distributors in Brazil around the turn of the nineteenth and twentieth centuries. It was one of the most solid commercial relationships of the era for the Geneva manufacture. When Patek relaunched this family in the early 2000s, they chose to recover that memory with a rectangular case in pure Art Déco style: a recognisable tribute, not a mere quotation.
