Strap for Annual Calendar Chronograph 5905 Stainless Steel / Green / Bracelet
Integrated bracelet: measurements, the most common questions, and the way to a made-to-measure strap.
Integrated bracelet
The Patek Philippe Complications 5905/1A-001 is designed with a bracelet integrated into the case. For a compatible made-to-measure strap, the Casati Milano atelier builds it on your watch.

Frequently asked questions
Can a strap be fitted to the Patek Philippe Complications 5905/1A-001?
Not in the conventional sense. The bracelet is integrated directly into the case: there are no standard lugs to attach an off-the-shelf strap. For anyone wishing to switch to leather, the only proper solution is a bespoke attachment, built from the actual geometry of the case. I do this in the atelier, with the watch in front of me.
How does the bespoke strap process work for this model?
I work by appointment only, at Casati Milano, Via XX Settembre 15, Milan. When you come in, I take the measurements directly from your case — no templates, no guesswork. Every attachment is hand-shaped and assembled to ensure a visual continuity with the steel of the case, as though it had always been that way.
Which leather would I recommend for this watch?
For a piece with a sporting character but serious technical depth, I favour natural, unvarnished shell cordovan, or a brushed-finish deerskin calf. Both hold up to daily wear, age with integrity, and sit naturally alongside the satin-brushed and polished steel. I steer clear of heavily patinated or glossy leathers — on this watch they would simply look wrong.
How long does a well-made strap last?
A strap built on quality hide, with reinforced stitching and proper lining, will easily last five to seven years of regular wear — longer if you rotate it. Leather is not something to be afraid of; it just needs respect. Keep it away from prolonged exposure to water and condition it occasionally. Over time it develops a character that no new strap can replicate.
Was the 5905/1A-001 truly an exception for Patek Philippe?
Yes, and I say that with conviction. Patek Philippe has never been a sporting manufacture in the strict sense, and introducing a flyback chronograph with annual calendar in steel, on an integrated bracelet, in 2015 was a bold decision. This is not the usual Complications in gold on an alligator strap. It is a watch that wants to be worn every day, while carrying inside one of the most refined complications the manufacture produces.
The next step
The right strap isn't chosen. It is built, together.
From the atelier appointment to delivery, every step is made for those who know that things done well take time. Rare leathers, one piece at a time, eighteen months of warranty.
