The Kalpa PFC1601023300B10202, seen from the bench

The Kalpa from Parmigiani Fleurier features the in-house manufactured caliber PF600 with hours and minutes indication. The watch adopts the characteristic tonneau case of the model, distinctive of the Kalpa collection. The PF600 movement represents one of the watch movements developed internally by the Swiss manufacture.

Frequently asked questions

Can I fit a standard strap on the Parmigiani Fleurier Kalpa PFC1601023300B10202?

No, the bracelet is integrated into the case. The lugs are not standard and a commercial strap will not attach. For this model I work directly in the atelier: I take the case, study the geometry of the curved lugs, and craft a bespoke strap moulded to your specific case.

How exactly does the bespoke strap service work?

Visit me at Casati Milano, by appointment only. I position the watch at the bench, take direct measurements from the tonneau's curved lugs, and create the strap stitched and finished for that precise geometry. It is sartorial work, not catalogue work.

Which leather do you recommend for the Kalpa?

I favour Mississippi Alligator in cognac. The Kalpa carries both sporty and elegant character, with that tonneau case which defies convention: a rich, robust leather like cognac alligator respects that design freedom without overwhelming it. Alligator ages beautifully over the years.

How long does a well-made strap last?

It depends on wear, but with leather I select, you're looking at 8–10 years of daily wear without worry. Leather ages well if you treat it: minimal direct sun, stable humidity indoors, a leather cream twice a year. After that, it's not damaged—it's simply lived in.

Why does the Kalpa deserve this level of strap attention?

Michel Parmigiani engineered this tonneau case according to precise mathematical proportions, geometry that rejects conventional forms. That architectural work deserves a strap which accompanies it faithfully. A generic strap would fracture the equilibrium in the design. That is why bespoke is the only path.

The next step
