The PAM01504 features 20-millimeter lugs. This more compact measurement compared to the 22mm of classic Luminor models was deliberately chosen to balance the reduced 38mm case and maintain elegant proportions on the wrist. To verify the measurement, position a digital caliper between the case's metal terminals.

The ideal strap depends on intended use. For formal elegance, dark brown alligator or natural tannin calf create harmony with the case's Goldtech®. For sports versatility, heavy cordura NATO straps and Fluoroelastomer straps maintain functionality without aesthetic compromise. We recommend a minimum thickness of 1.4mm to properly support the 20mm lugs.

The change requires a dedicated spring bar remover tool. Position the watch on a stable support, gently insert the tool under the metal terminal, press the internal pin to release the lug, and slide out the strap. Reverse the procedure with the new strap. If you lack confidence, consult a qualified watchmaker to avoid the risk of case scratches.

Any strap with 20mm lugs is technically compatible. However, to maintain aesthetic and functional integrity, we recommend straps from brands specializing in luxury watchmaking that guarantee correct thicknesses, tailored finishes, and precise fit. At 20mm, this is a less mainstream measurement than 22mm, so always verify specifications before purchase.

A quality leather strap, with minimum 1.4mm thickness and made from natural calf or alligator, maintains structural integrity for 3–5 years of daily use. Natural patina and leather detachment accelerate aging; however, regular maintenance (gentle cleaning, drying) and alternating with other straps significantly extend lifespan. Artisanal straps subject to quality control carry a warranty of up to 18 months.
