To verify strap compatibility, measure the internal space between the lugs using a digital calliper or flexible ruler. Any aftermarket strap must respect this dimension to ensure proper fit without lateral play.

For the 34mm LadyMatic, we recommend cognac brown alligator, which creates an elegant palette in contrast with stainless steel. Black burgundy calf is ideal for formal occasions, whilst shell cordovan in colour #8 offers emotional depth and natural patina. For daily wear, grey powder calf or cotton-linen NATO maintains chromatic versatility. Your choice depends on intended use and personal colour palette.

The strap is secured to the case via two lugs. To remove the original strap, you must use a spring bar tool to compress the internal spring and extract the pin. We advise against DIY on valuable models; entrust the operation to an authorised Omega service centre or specialist craftsman. The procedure requires precision to avoid scratching the case.

Any strap with a 16mm lug width is compatible. The most recommended materials are alligator, high-quality calf, shell cordovan and vegetable-tanned leather. Always verify that the strap lugs have correctly dimensioned holes to accommodate standard Omega lug pins. The overall width of the strap must not exceed the case width to maintain harmonious proportions.

The lifespan of a leather strap depends on the material, use conditions and frequency of wear. A quality alligator or calf typically lasts 3–5 years with moderate use (2–3 days per week). Shell cordovan and artisanal vegetable-tanned leathers, owing to their density, may last 5–7 years. Exposure to perspiration, moisture and sunlight reduces longevity. A quality deployante does not wear; only the strap requires periodic replacement.
