Frequently asked questions

Can I fit a standard leather strap on this Omega Constellation?

No. The bracelet is integrated into the case — there are no standard lugs. A commercial strap won't attach. I build a bespoke solution in the workshop, shaping the new strap directly to your case's geometry.

How does the bespoke strap work for the Constellation 123.25.38.22.02.002?

Come to Atelier Casati Milano by appointment. I take measurements directly from your case — width, thickness, angles of the griffes — and craft the strap that fits perfectly. No compromise between the watch and what you'll wear.

Which leather would you recommend for such an elegant bicolour Constellation?

Alligator Mississippi. The Constellation has a noble character, and those lateral griffes demand leather that ages with dignity. Alligator develops a deep patina over the years, stays supple and breathes with your skin. It's the strap this watch deserves.

How long does a well-made strap last?

It depends on wear and how you treat it. A well-built strap in quality leather lasts 4–6 years of regular wear. Then the leather ages, perhaps the edge wears. But if you care for it — keep it dry, don't fold it when you're not wearing it — it easily reaches 8–10 years. Fine leather can be repaired, if needed.

Why are the Constellation's griffes so important?

They're four talons that embrace the case laterally — since 1952 the defining mark of this collection. Your bespoke strap must respect their exact profile, without touching them, or you lose the architecture Omega built. In the workshop, I measure everything to the millimetre.
