Frequently asked questions

Can I fit a standard strap on the Omega Constellation 123.13.35.20.55.001?

No. The bracelet is integrated into the case: the lug attachment is proprietary and a standard strap won't fit. For this model I build everything bespoke directly on the watch, in the atelier.

How does the bespoke strap work for the Constellation?

We work exclusively at Casati Milano, by appointment only. I take measurements directly from the case and the lugs, studying the transition between the original bracelet and the new strap millimetre by millimetre. It's craftsmanship that requires time and precision.

Which leather do you recommend for the Constellation?

I prefer Swift or Barenia. The Constellation is both sporty and refined: Swift gives it contemporary clarity and a patina that ages beautifully. Barenia, richer in character, brings depth to the wrist. Mississippi Alligator remains the choice for those seeking maximum refinement.

How long does a well-made strap last?

With conscious wear and light maintenance, 8 to 12 years. Leather isn't immortal, but it ages with dignity. A light cream application now and then, protection from direct sun, and the strap tells your story without tiring. When the time truly comes, I remake it.

The Constellation's lugs – those four horns – do they limit strap choice?

No, quite the opposite. They are the soul of the design: that's why I respect them in my work. I study how the strap enters the lugs, how the leather colour dialogues with the steel. It's a constraint that becomes a true artisanal challenge. Not compromise: architecture.

The next step
