I prefer Mississippi Alligator. The titanium and CarbonMacrolon of this machine demand a material that answers with the same geometric energy. Alligator brings that visual structure, that texture contrast which doesn't erase the sculpture—it walks beside it.
How long does a well-made strap last?
It depends on wear and care. Quality leather ages over 4 to 8 years of daily wear, developing patina. If you treat it with respect—dry after rain, away from heat—the leather doesn't tire. It transforms. That's what a handmade strap becomes.
