The Ingenieur IW9701, seen from the bench

The IWC Ingenieur IW9701 is the contemporary evolution of a 1955 design by Albert Pellaton, originally created for engineers working in high-magnetic environments. The 38mm yellow gold case embodies functional design philosophy with no ornamental excess. The automatic IWC caliber 2250 movement features hours, minutes, seconds and date. Water resistant to 60 meters, the watch has a 20mm lug width and approximately 4mm lug depth, characteristic of this Ingenieur generation. The yellow gold develops a natural patina over time, recording the watch's personal history through wear and use.
