No — the bracelet is integrated into the case. There are no proprietary lugs where a commercial strap will attach. I've seen attempts; they don't work. For this watch, I build the strap bespoke directly onto the case, in my workshop.

Tuscan vegetable-tanned leather. The Ingenieur is purposeful, built for engineers — it needs a leather that ages honestly and breathes with your wrist, not formal material. Tuscan develops a patina that tells time, just like the watch does.

Eight to twelve years of daily wear, if you treat it with care. Quality leather ages, it doesn't die — it changes colour, grows softer still. I advise cleaning it now and then with a damp cloth, and never leaving it wet. A good leather is a relationship, not disposable.

It's core to its philosophy — born in 1955 as an engineer's watch, case and bracelet are one idea, one construction principle. It refuses the compromise of removable lugs. I respect this rigour, which is why the strap must be built to measure, geometry against geometry.
