For the IW3765-01, we recommend a slate-grey or cognac-brown alligator strap, as the contrast with the titanium case enhances the integrated architecture of the IWC design. Alternatively, vegetable-tanned calf leather in medium-brown tones develops a noble patina over time. For more technical use cases, an FKM rubber strap with grain texture ensures practicality and resistance in severe environments.

Strap replacement is accomplished by removing the spring bars that connect the strap to the case lugs. Using a spring bar tool, apply pressure from the underside of the lug to compress the spring and extract the bar. Once released, slide the old strap away from the lugs and insert the new strap, aligning it with the anchoring grooves, then reinsert the spring bar. We recommend performing this operation on a soft surface to avoid scratching the case.

A high-quality artisanal leather strap, crafted with vegetable tanning, has an average lifespan of 3–5 years with daily wear, depending on usage frequency and climatic conditions. Alligator leather, owing to its higher fibre density compared to calf, tends to last slightly longer. The patina that develops over time is a desirable characteristic, not a defect.
