Strap for Kleine Da Vinci Yellow Gold / White / Blue Croco

The IW3736-04 requires a strap with a 15mm lug width. This is a non-standard measurement, specific to high-end women's watchmaking. To verify compatibility, measure the distance between the two inner flanges of the lug with a digital calliper: the value must be between 14.8 and 15.2 millimetres. Do not use 14mm straps (too tight) or 16mm straps (will not fit): they risk damaging the yellow gold lugs.

Alligator is the traditional and most elegant choice, particularly in pearl grey or taupe tones that enhance the yellow gold without competing visually. Shell cordovan offers compactness and natural lustre, ideal for those preferring a patina-aged leather. Vegetable-tanned calf leather allows contemporary colours (black, burgundy, navy blue) whilst maintaining finesse and ageing receptivity. Avoid synthetic or rubber materials, which contradict the ceremonial spirit of the watch.

Remove the watch and place it on a soft surface (cotton cloth). Use a spring bar tool to gently push the spring pin inward: this releases pressure on the lug flanges. Extract the strap, then repeat on the opposite side. To fit the new strap, align the spring pins to their seats and press firmly until you feel a click. Verify the strap is securely fastened on both sides before wearing the watch.

An aftermarket strap is compatible if the lug width is exactly 15mm and the strap thickness does not exceed 2.8–3mm at the passant area. IWC engineered tight tolerances on this model. Periodic maintenance (leather cream, drying after moisture exposure) significantly extends strap lifespan.
