Integrated bracelet: measurements, the most common questions, and the way to a made-to-measure strap.

Integrated bracelet

The Harry Winston Opus OPUMTR44PP001 is designed with a bracelet integrated into the case. For a compatible made-to-measure strap, the Casati Milano atelier builds it on your watch.

The Opus OPUMTR44PP001, seen from the bench

The Harry Winston Opus 4 is a 44mm platinum watch representing a unique collaboration between Harry Winston and independent master watchmakers. It features a complex mechanical movement where the dial architecture and mechanical complications merge into a wearable artwork. The watch requires a custom strap solution with a special attachment for integrated bracelet compatibility.

Frequently asked questions

Can you fit a standard strap on the Harry Winston Opus OPUMTR44PP001?

No, the bracelet is integrated into the case — there are no standard spring bars. A conventional strap won't attach. What I do in the atelier is build a bespoke strap directly onto the case, studying the geometry of the platinum.

How does the bespoke strap process work for the Opus?

We work only at Casati Milano, by appointment. I take the watch in hand, study where the case meets the wrist, and build the strap following that precise geometry. It's an adaptation, not an application.

Which leather would you recommend for this model?

I prefer Mississippi Alligator for the Opus. Platinum has an almost austere geometric precision — a leather with marked but controlled grain keeps that intellectual character without competing with the case. Alligator ages beautifully, and its thickness supports the weight of the piece.

How long does a well-made strap last?

With quality leather and proper care, it lasts 5-8 years of daily wear. Leather isn't a countdown — it depends on how you treat it. Alligator, which I favour for this model, becomes softer and deeper over the years. Occasional cleaning and avoiding excess moisture make all the difference.

Why is the Opus made in platinum and not gold?

Harry Winston chose platinum because it's the metal of zero compromise — it's heavy, inert, demanding to work. It's not an aesthetic choice, it's a statement: form follows mechanical complexity, nothing more. Platinum tells what craftsmanship requires, nothing less.

The next step

The right strap isn't chosen. It is built, together.

From the atelier appointment to delivery, every step is made for those who know that things done well take time. Rare leathers, one piece at a time, eighteen months of warranty.
