Integrated bracelet: measurements, the most common questions, and the way to a made-to-measure strap.
Integrated bracelet
The Chopard Alpine Eagle 298600-6001 is designed with a bracelet integrated into the case. For a compatible made-to-measure strap, the Casati Milano atelier builds it on your watch.

Frequently asked questions
Can a standard strap be fitted to the Chopard Alpine Eagle 298600-6001?
No, the bracelet is integrated into the case. The lug attachment isn't proprietary in the classical sense — it's the case geometry itself that defines it. A standard strap won't engage. This is why I work directly on the watch in the atelier, building the strap bespoke around its specific architecture.
How does the bespoke strap process work for this model?
Visit Casati Milano by appointment only. I take measurements directly from the case, study the lug curvature and octagonal geometry. Then I hand-model the strap, ensuring the attachment respects the original profile millimetre by millimetre. It's work that cannot be done remotely.
Which leather would you recommend for the Alpine Eagle?
Mississippi alligator in tobacco. This watch has a brutalist, sporty soul — the integrated bracelet already tells that story. A natural, lived-in leather that ages with character suits that geometry better. Barenia works equally well, but alligator carries the patina that respects the visual weight of the octagonal bezel and sunray dial.
How long does a well-made strap last?
If built with quality leather and cared for — dried after rain, kept out of direct sun — it lasts 5 to 7 years of daily wear. It ages beautifully: it darkens, gains patina. It depends on how you treat it. Once exhausted, you return to the atelier and I build a new one from measurements I already have on file.
Is the Alpine Eagle truly inspired by the historic St. Moritz from the 1980s?
Yes, but it's not a replica. Chopard took the brutalist language of that model — the integrated bracelet, the octagonal bezel — and reinterpreted it with contemporary techniques and materials. The ethical rose gold and Lucent Steel A223 give it different character. It's a conversation between eras, not a copy. This is why the strap must respect that philosophy: simple, well-built, without noise.
