The craftsman measures the watch directly in the atelier: distance between lugs, angle of attachment, case thickness at that point. Precise photographs are acquired. The strap is then built literally on the watch, ensuring every keeper embraces the case with exact geometry and the buckle positions according to design intent.

Natural grain calf leather is the most coherent choice: irregular texture mirrors alpine aesthetics and develops beautiful patina over time. Dark colours (deep blue, black) emphasise the iridescent dial. Alternatively, duck leather offers more character and ages magnificently, or tone-on-tone alligator for formal elegance.

A bespoke strap crafted with quality leather and sartorial construction endures years of daily wear. Longevity depends on use, maintenance, and chosen leathers. Calf leather ages beautifully; alligator is even more durable. With ordinary care, 3–5 years of intensive use is normal, though many straps outlast decades.

It is an intentional design choice: integrating the attachment into the case allows perfect proportions and stylistic continuity, characteristic of high-end sports watches.
