The Alpine Eagle 298600-3001, seen from the bench

The Alpine Eagle 41 in stainless steel features Chopard's Lucent Steel A223 case with a blue dial inspired by the golden eagle's iris. Presented in 2019 as spiritual successor to the St. Moritz, this model combines architectural rigor with alpine aesthetics. The integrated bracelet flows seamlessly into the case with complex geometry requiring precision engineering and meticulous attention to detail.

Frequently asked questions

Can you fit a standard strap on the Chopard Alpine Eagle 298600-3001?

No, the bracelet is integrated into the case. The attachment is proprietary and a commercial strap won't fit. But this isn't a limitation — in the atelier I build the strap directly onto your case, modelling the attachment to dialogue with the original geometry.

How does the made-to-measure strap work for the Alpine Eagle?

Come to Casati Milano, by appointment only. I take measurements directly from the case, study the integrated attachment and craft the strap to measure. No approximations — every millimetre counts with a watch built like this.

Which leather do you recommend for the Alpine Eagle?

I prefer Mississippi Alligator or naturally aged Barenia. This watch has a sporting yet refined character, and deserves leather that ages with personality, that develops patina over time. Alligator gives structural rigidity that supports the case weight well; Barenia surprises you with its shifts in tone.

How long does a well-made strap last?

With daily wear and ordinary care, six, seven years. The leather evolves, softens, acquires character. If you nurture it — don't expose it to constant sun, let it breathe — it can last longer still. It's alive, not static like rubber.

Why choose a made-to-measure strap with this specific model?

The Alpine Eagle was born in 2019 with a precise vision: architectural rigour and connection to the mountain. The integrated bracelet is part of that language. A generic strap betrays that intention. Made-to-measure, I continue the conversation between the case and whoever wears it, respecting the character Chopard built.
