Frequently asked questions

Can you fit a standard strap on the Casio Mudmaster GWG-1000GB-1A?

No, the bracelet is integrated into the case and uses a proprietary Casio attachment system. A standard strap won't fit. I've seen many attempts — they don't work. For a real change, I craft a bespoke strap directly on the watch, in the atelier.

How does the bespoke strap work for the Mudmaster?

It's handcrafted by Casati Milano, by appointment only. I work directly on your case, taking measurements from the resin protection and all the contours. Every detail fits your specific piece, not the other way around.

Which leather do you recommend for this model?

I prefer Tuscan leather vegetable-tanned, dark brown or moro. The Mudmaster is a robust tool, post-industrial in spirit: natural leather that ages well respects that language. If you want the tactical side amplified, military suede does it even stronger.

How long does a well-made strap last?

With proper care, three, four years, sometimes more. It depends on how much you wear it and exposure to sweat. Vegetable-tanned leather darkens, develops patina — it ages. If you clean it occasionally and don't soak it, you'll notice it improves over time rather than wearing out.

Why is the Mudmaster GWG-1000GB-1A so valued by professionals?

The structure with multiple protections and analog-digital sensors makes it genuinely tough in extreme environments — mud, shocks, vibrations. It's not just aesthetics: it's function. I've seen these watches on construction sites, in the mountains, in situations where a formal watch would fail. The post-industrial design comes straight from real demands.

The next step
