Frequently asked questions

Can a standard strap be fitted to the Casio G-Shock 6900 GD-X6900HT-3?

No. The bracelet is integrated into the case — there are no springbar lugs compatible with commercial straps. I've seen many try: the proprietary Casio system simply doesn't allow it. For a genuine strap on this watch, I must build it directly in the workshop.

How does the bespoke strap work for the G-Shock 6900?

We work exclusively at Casati Milano, by appointment only. I take measurements directly from the case, study the proprietary attachment system, and design a solution that works with this model's complex geometry. It's not an adaptation — it's true construction.

Which leather do I recommend for this G-Shock?

Barenia or a good work leather. This watch was built for action — durability, a patina that tells time. Fine, delicate leather makes no sense here. I prefer materials that age well, that handle scratches and moisture without fuss, just as the case itself does.

How long does a well-made strap last?

It depends on use and care. With solid leather and hand construction, I've seen straps last 5, 6, even 10 years. Leather improves over time — it develops patina, becomes softer. Treat it well and keep it out of prolonged damp conditions, and it endures. Neglect it, and it ages faster.

Why has the 6900 remained a reference since 1983?

The Triple 10 philosophy — 10-meter drop resistance, 10 bar water resistance, 10-year battery life — created a watch with no compromises. That asymmetry, those three subdials: it's pure engineering design, not decoration. After 40 years, the GD-X6900HT-3 in Hyper Tough keeps that logic intact. Which is why it deserves a strap built with the same rigour.
