Can you fit a standard strap on the Casio G-Shock 6900 DW-6900HM-1?
No, the bracelet is integrated directly into the resin case. The lugs are proprietary and a standard strap has no way to attach. To have a different strap, I build one bespoke directly onto your watch, working with the original lugs.
How does the bespoke strap work for the G-Shock 6900?
I work exclusively at <a href="/pages/casati-booking">Casati Milano</a>, by appointment only. I take measurements directly from your case and the geometry of your lugs, then construct the strap to that precise specification. It's not something done remotely.
Which leather do you recommend for this model?
I recommend our ultra-robust Tuscan Leather. This G-Shock has a sport and military character, and Tuscan leather ages beautifully under stress, developing a patina that tells the story of use. If you prefer something more formal, our premium NATO works just as well.
How long does a well-made strap last?
A quality leather strap lasts 5–10 years with regular wear, depending on how you treat it. Leather ages, develops imperfections that are beauty, not flaws. Just don't leave it soaking wet and give it a little care. When done right, it improves over time.
Why does the DW-6900HM-1 have such specific integrated lugs?
Casio designed this 53mm case with a curved geometry and resin lugs to guarantee maximum shock resistance. It's a deliberate engineering choice that reflects the G-Shock philosophy of protection. This is precisely why a bespoke strap is the only serious approach.
