Strap replacement is accomplished by removing the lug pins via spring-loaded tool or dedicated pin extractor. Position the watch on a soft pad, locate the small access hole on the lug sides, and slide the pin outward smoothly. The operation takes 2-3 minutes and requires measured pressure.

Any strap with 24mm lug width is compatible, including leather, rubber, NATO, and fabric options. Ensure leather thickness (1.3-1.5mm) does not impede smooth insertion into the pins, and that total length provides adequate wearability across your wrist size.

Durability varies by material: alligator and shell cordovan maintain integrity for 15+ years with routine care; vegetable-tanned calf leather 5-7 years. Climate, humidity exposure, and usage frequency influence longevity. Maintenance with protective creams significantly extends useful life.
