No. The bracelet is integrated directly into the case with a proprietary octagonal geometry. A standard strap has no way of attaching. The only viable route is a bespoke build, starting from the physical watch in hand.

I work exclusively in the atelier, by appointment, with the watch present on the bench. At <a href="/pages/casati-booking">Casati Milano</a>, in Via XX Settembre 15, Milan, I take measurements directly from the case, shape the attachments by hand and build the strap around the actual geometry of the Offshore. There are no shortcuts: every millimetre is verified against the ceramic case.

I prefer Mississippi alligator with a matte finish. The Offshore has a sporty, assertive character, and an overly glossy leather breaks that balance. The matte finish holds the tone, working with the black ceramic without overpowering it. Over the years it develops a patina that tells the story of use rather than concealing it.

With ordinary care — keeping it away from prolonged water exposure and conditioning the leather every six months — a well-built strap lasts five to eight years of regular use. Alligator ages with dignity: it changes colour and gains depth. It does not wear out; it transforms.

The sapphire crystal caseback is the boldest choice in my view. Audemars Piguet exposes the movement without filters, on a case that combines black ceramic and titanium. I have seen many watches with an open caseback, but few where the transparency carries this visual weight. It is a technical decision that changes how the watch is worn.
