Not in the conventional sense. The bracelet is integrated directly into the case with a proprietary attachment: a standard strap simply has no way to connect. What I do in the atelier is different — I build the strap to measure, working on the watch itself, adapting every millimetre to the original geometry.

Everything begins with an appointment at <a href="/pages/casati-booking">Casati Milano</a>, at Via XX Settembre 15 in Milan. I bring the watch to the bench, take measurements directly from the case, and build the attachment from scratch. There are no ready-made templates for this kind of geometry — every strap is made specifically for that individual piece.

For an Offshore in rose gold I lean towards Mississippi alligator in warm tones — tobacco, cognac, deep bordeaux. This watch has a sporting character but wears rose gold, so the leather needs to hold that dual register without tipping into the obvious. Aged Barenia is another choice that works very well over time, developing a patina that suits the character of the case.

With quality leather and solid construction, I count on at least eight to ten years of regular wear. The key is care: protect the leather from water, let it breathe, use a neutral cream occasionally. Alligator and Barenia do not deteriorate with age — they develop character, which is an entirely different thing.

The Offshore was built to take the Royal Oak philosophy towards something more physical, more present on the wrist. The case is more robust, the volumes more assertive, the character openly sporting. In rose gold, as in this reference, that tension between toughness and noble material becomes the exact point where the watch finds its identity — it is neither pure sport nor dress watch, and that ambiguity is precisely what makes it compelling.
