No. The bracelet is integrated directly into the case: there is no standard lug to attach an off-the-shelf strap. The octagonal geometry and proprietary attachment points make any generic solution impossible. The only way forward is a bespoke strap, built from the watch itself.

I work on this model exclusively through <a href="/pages/casati-booking">Casati Milano</a>, my atelier at Via XX Settembre 15 in Milan, by appointment only. I bring the watch to the bench, take measurements directly from the case, and build the attachment millimetre by millimetre. I never work from photographs or specification sheets — physical contact with the case is always the starting point.

For the Royal Oak Offshore I always choose matte Mississippi alligator. The character of this watch is direct and sporting, and a glossy leather risks clashing with the satin-finished steel of the case. Matte alligator brings structure without visual excess, and over time develops a patina that suits the muscular architecture of this watch perfectly.

With minimal care — keeping it away from prolonged water exposure and conditioning the leather every six months — a hand-finished alligator strap lasts easily five to eight years of daily wear. The leather does not deteriorate: it changes. The creases, the patina, the evolving colour are signs of a living material. An industrial strap falls apart; one made properly tells the story of time.

The Royal Oak Offshore was born in 1993 as a deliberately more aggressive response: a larger case, a more muscular design, a presence on the wrist that demands attention. Genta had created the Royal Oak as an elegant disruption; the Offshore is the version that raises its voice. I have seen many clients move from one to the other over the years — it is almost always a matter of a moment in life, not just taste.
