No. The bracelet is integrated into the case and the lugs have a proprietary geometry. A standard strap simply will not attach: the octagonal shape and shaped terminals leave no room for universal solutions. I build each strap to measure, directly on the watch, in the atelier.

I work exclusively through <a href="/pages/casati-booking">Casati Milano</a>, by appointment at Via XX Settembre 15 in Milan. I bring the watch to the bench, take measurements from the actual case and build each terminal by hand so it fits with precision. There are no shortcuts: the Offshore geometry demands time and careful attention.

I prefer naturally aged Barenia. It has a dense texture, ages with real character and holds its own against this watch's sporting DNA without looking out of place on a dressed-up wrist. Mississippi alligator is a strong second choice for those who want more visual structure.

With basic care — keeping it away from prolonged water exposure and letting it breathe — a quality leather strap easily lasts five to seven years. Barenia in particular improves over time: it takes the shape of the wrist and develops a personal patina. It is not a consumable.

Introduced in 1993, it was born as a provocation: larger, bolder, with a wrist presence that was genuinely unsettling at the time. Genta had designed the Royal Oak as a challenge to steel in sporting watchmaking; the Offshore raised the stakes further. I have seen many wrists wearing both — the character is genuinely different, it is not simply a matter of proportions.
