Strap for Royal Oak Offshore Diver Stainless Steel / Blue

The bracelet is integrated directly into the case: there is no standard lug to attach a ready-made strap. This is not a limitation — it is a deliberate design decision by Audemars Piguet. If you want to switch to leather, I build the strap to measure in the atelier, working directly on the physical watch.

I work exclusively by appointment at <a href="/pages/casati-booking">Casati Milano</a>, at Via XX Settembre 15 in Milan. The watch comes to the atelier, I study the geometry of the attachment and take every measurement directly from the case. I do not use generic templates: every curve of the strap is born from that specific watch.

For this model I choose matt-finished Mississippi Alligator. The black ceramic has a dense, quiet texture, and a glossy leather would clash with it. Matt alligator brings character without competing with the case. If you want something more everyday and robust, Tuscan leather ages beautifully and keeps pace with the sporting character of the Royal Oak Offshore.

With a quality leather and minimal care, I comfortably count on five to seven years of regular use. I avoid direct water contact and let the strap dry naturally after an intense day. Quality leather does not deteriorate — it transforms: it takes the shape of the wrist and develops a patina that a mass-produced strap will never achieve.

The Royal Oak Offshore was born in 1993 as a larger, more robust version, built for those who wanted a genuinely physical presence on the wrist. The octagonal bezel remains, but the overall mass and character shift firmly towards high-performance sport. In this reference, the black ceramic adds a further layer of visual and material hardness that the original Royal Oak never sought.
