Strap for Royal Oak 67651 Quartz Pink Gold / Blue / Bracelet

The bracelet is integrated into the case: there is no standard lug to attach an off-the-shelf strap. The Royal Oak's proprietary geometry requires a bespoke attachment built specifically for this watch. That is precisely what I do in the atelier — no adapters, no compromises.

I work by appointment only, at <a href="/pages/casati-booking">Casati Milano</a>, Via XX Settembre 15, Milan. I bring the watch to the bench, take measurements directly from the pink gold case, and shape every attachment by hand. The result integrates with the case as though it were always meant to be there.

I favour aged Barenia in a warm tone — honey or cognac. It complements the pink gold without overpowering it, and it ages beautifully, developing a patina that reflects real wear. For something more structured, Mississippi Alligator in dark brown creates an elegant contrast while respecting the sporting character of the octagonal case.

With quality leather and basic care — keeping it away from water, letting it breathe between wears — I comfortably expect seven to eight years before any real signs of deterioration appear. Barenia in particular does not decline: it gains character. A well-made strap is not discarded; it develops a patina.

Gérald Genta drew it in a single night in 1972, proposing a sporting watch in steel — later gold — with an octagonal case and exposed screws on the bezel. At the time it was a provocation. The integrated construction between case and bracelet, with the Tapisserie dial motif, was conceived as a single coherent architecture. I have seen many sporting watches over the years: very few carry this formal tension so well, even today.
