No. The bracelet is integrated directly into the case: there is no traditional lug to attach an off-the-shelf strap. This is a deliberate design decision by Genta, not a limitation. In the atelier I build every element to measure, starting from the actual geometry of the case.

I work by appointment only at <a href="/pages/casati-booking">Casati Milano</a>, at Via XX Settembre 15 in Milan. I bring the watch to the bench, take measurements directly from the case, and build the transition between leather and titanium millimetre by millimetre. There is no template: every strap is born from that specific piece.

I prefer an alligator leather with a matte or lightly satin finish. The titanium on this Royal Oak has a restrained, almost mineral surface — an aggressively glossy leather breaks that balance. Matte alligator works with the case without overpowering it, and it ages with a dignity I have come to appreciate over years at the bench.

With minimal care — keeping it away from water, letting it breathe after wear — a strap built from quality hides lasts five or six years comfortably. The leather does not deteriorate: it transforms. The creases, the patina, the way it moulds to the wrist are signs that it has done its job well.

Genta designed the bracelet as an organic extension of the octagonal case: the curve of the links follows the bezel, it is never arbitrary. Replicating that continuity in leather means building a shape that respects the geometry of the eight hexagonal screws and the transition towards the wrist. I have seen many approximate attempts over the years — you can tell immediately, because they break the internal logic of the object.
