With quality leather and serious construction, I expect five years of daily wear, often more. It depends on how you wear it and how much care you give it. An occasional treatment with a nourishing cream, keeping the leather away from prolonged water exposure: small things, but they matter. Ageing on leathers like Barenia is not deterioration — it is accumulated character.

The geometry of the eight hexagonal bezel elements extends into the bracelet with precise visual continuity. Breaking that continuity with a rough attachment is immediately obvious. I work with millimetric patience to maintain the proportions Genta drew: the strap must look like part of the watch, not an addition.
