Strap for Royal Oak Repeater Supersonnerie Titanium - Platinum / Red
Integrated bracelet: measurements, the most common questions, and the way to a made-to-measure strap.
Integrated bracelet
The Audemars Piguet Royal Oak 26591IP.OO.1252IP.01 is designed with a bracelet integrated into the case. For a compatible made-to-measure strap, the Casati Milano atelier builds it on your watch.
Frequently asked questions
Can a standard strap be fitted to the Royal Oak 26591IP.OO.1252IP.01?
No. The bracelet is integrated directly into the case: there is no standard lug to attach a conventional strap. This is a closed architecture, designed that way since 1972. The only option is to build a bespoke attachment, shaped around the watch itself.
How does the bespoke strap service work for this Royal Oak?
I work through Casati Milano, by appointment only, at Via XX Settembre 15 in Milan. I bring the watch to the bench, take measurements directly from the case, and build the attachment around its original proportions. There are no templates: every piece is made from scratch for that specific case.
Which leather do I recommend for this Royal Oak in titanium and platinum?
I recommend naturally aged Barenia. The character of this watch is sporting yet refined, with a combination of materials that does not shout: titanium is discreet, platinum is cold and dense. Barenia follows the same register — it starts almost stiff, then softens and takes on the colour of time. It is a leather that grows with the watch, not against it.
How long does a well-made strap last?
With quality leather and serious construction, I expect five years of daily wear, often more. It depends on how you wear it and how much care you give it. An occasional treatment with a nourishing cream, keeping the leather away from prolonged water exposure: small things, but they matter. Ageing on leathers like Barenia is not deterioration — it is accumulated character.
What makes building a strap for the Royal Oak technically complex?
The geometry of the eight hexagonal bezel elements extends into the bracelet with precise visual continuity. Breaking that continuity with a rough attachment is immediately obvious. I work with millimetric patience to maintain the proportions Genta drew: the strap must look like part of the watch, not an addition.
The next step
