The process begins with an appointment at the atelier, where the watch is brought in person so that the exact geometry of the integrated attachment can be measured with precision instruments. From that survey, a draft support is constructed and verified on the case before the final leather is worked. Every stage — shaping, stitching, edge finishing — is carried out by hand on that single piece.

Mississippi alligator with a square grain is the most coherent choice for the Royal Oak's modular geometry: the regularity of the scales echoes the rhythm of the hexagonal screws on the bezel. Alternatively, smooth calfskin in slate or midnight blue offers a sportier reading, developing a patina over time that evolves alongside the watch.

A strap built with first-selection leather, hand stitching, and properly finished edges can accompany a watch for many years, developing a personal patina that increases its character over time. Longevity also depends on rotation of use and routine care: storage away from heat sources, natural drying after exposure to moisture. A well-made strap does not wear out evenly — it improves.

The AP 2924 integrates three distinct complications into a manufacture movement — hours and minutes, a power reserve indicator, and a tourbillon escapement — without any one of them visually dominating the others. The tourbillon is presented on the dial with formal restraint, consistent with the Royal Oak aesthetic that contains rather than exhibits mechanical complexity.
