The Royal Oak was introduced in 1972 as the first luxury sports watch in steel. It is powered by the automatic AP 2385 caliber with a column-wheel chronograph function, small seconds, and date indication. The octagonal case features the characteristic bezel with eight visible screws and an integrated bracelet.
