No. The bracelet is integrated into the case: there is no conventional lug where a standard strap can be attached. The attachment is part of the watch's own architecture. The only viable route is to build the strap by hand, to measure, directly on the watch, in the atelier.

I work by appointment only, at <a href="/pages/casati-booking">Casati Milano</a>, Via XX Settembre 15, Milan. I take measurements directly from the case at the bench, with no standard references. Each attachment is shaped by hand to follow the geometry of the Royal Oak. This is not an adaptation — it is built from scratch.

I prefer Mississippi Alligator worked in midnight blue with a satin finish. White gold has a cold, precise character: midnight blue accompanies it without overpowering it. The satin finish tones down reflections and sits far better alongside the case's facets than a polished surface would.

With minimal care — keeping it away from water, letting it breathe, rotating between straps if you have more than one — a quality alligator strap easily lasts five to eight years. The leather ages and marks, but in the right way: it takes the shape of the wrist and softens in colour. It does not deteriorate; it wears in.

Gérald Genta drew it in 1972, reportedly in a single night. The integrated bracelet was not an aesthetic flourish — it was the answer to a sports watch in steel, and later gold, that had to hold toughness and elegance together with no visible seams. Fifty years on, that choice still makes every strap intervention a question of architecture, not accessories.
