I work exclusively by appointment at <a href="/pages/casati-booking">Casati Milano</a>, at Via XX Settembre 15 in Milan. Bring the watch: I take the measurements from the case, assess the pink gold lugs, and build the attachment by hand so it integrates without forcing anything. There are no sizes or templates — every strap is made from that specific piece.

For this model I go without hesitation to Mississippi Alligator with a gloss finish. The Royal Oak has a hybrid character — sporty in structure, refined in materials — and the glossy alligator speaks naturally to the warmth of the pink gold. Vintage Barenia is a strong second choice if you want something drier and less formal.

With minimal care — keeping it away from prolonged water exposure, letting it breathe after use — I have seen alligator straps last eight to ten years without losing their structure. Quality leather does not die: it changes, settles, takes the shape of the wrist. This ageing is part of the work, not a flaw.

Gérald Genta designed the lugs as sculptural extensions of the case, not as simple attachment points. That continuity of line between the octagonal bezel and the bracelet is the hardest element to respect. I have seen aftermarket straps that break that curve and ruin the entire proportion of the watch. In the atelier I shape each attachment piece by piece, until the transition is invisible.
