Strap for Royal Oak Chronograph 41 Pink Gold / Diamond

Not in the traditional sense. The bracelet is integrated into the case and the attachment is proprietary: no standard strap fits without intervention. I build it directly on the watch, bespoke, at the atelier.

I work through <a href="/pages/casati-booking">Casati Milano</a>, by appointment only, at Via XX Settembre 15 in Milan. I bring the watch to the bench, take measurements from the case with my own hands and shape every contact point from the actual geometry. There is no standard size: every piece starts from scratch.

I would go for Mississippi alligator from a superior selection, polished finish, in warm tones — a deep bordeaux or a golden tobacco. Pink gold calls for leathers with character, not neutral hides. The natural grain of the alligator works with the octagonal geometry of the bezel without overpowering it.

A strap built with care and first-rate leather lasts easily ten years, sometimes more. Keep it away from water, let it breathe between uses and condition the leather every few months with a neutral cream. Over the years the leather settles, takes the shape of the wrist and develops a character that a new one simply does not have yet.

The integrated attachment is not a standard lug: it is designed to continue the case both visually and structurally. Every millimetre out of place shows, because the octagonal geometry is precise and unforgiving. At the bench I study the transition between metal and leather as if it were a joint — not an accessory applied on top, but a part that belongs there.
