Strap for Royal Oak Extra-Thin Yellow Gold / Champagne / 50th Anniversary

Not in the conventional sense. The bracelet is integrated into the case — it is part of Genta's original design and cannot be removed with a standard spring bar. An off-the-shelf strap simply will not attach. In the atelier, I build the fitting directly on the watch, entirely bespoke.

I work through <a href="/pages/casati-booking">Casati Milano</a>, by appointment only, at Via XX Settembre 15 in Milan. I bring the watch to the bench, study the geometry of the lugs, and take every measurement from the actual case. There is no template: each attachment is built from scratch on that specific piece.

On a yellow gold case with this character — sporting yet built to last generations — I prefer Barenia Havana. The warm tone of the leather does not fight the gold, it accompanies it. It ages with dignity, much like the watch itself.

A strap built properly, from first-rate leather, easily lasts five to eight years with regular wear. Care is straightforward: keep it away from prolonged exposure to water and condition the leather twice a year. Over time, Barenia develops a patina that reflects how you have worn it — that is a quality, not a flaw.

It is the reissue of the original 1972 reference — the same reference number, the same 39mm case that Genta drew. It is not a tribute: it is the direct continuation of that design. In yellow gold, the register shifts entirely — less sporting in spirit, more built to endure.
