Strap for Royal Oak 41 Double Balance Wheel Openworked Pink Gold / Baguette

The bracelet is integrated directly into the case: there is no standard lug to attach an off-the-shelf strap. This was a deliberate design decision by Genta, and it deserves to be respected. At the atelier I build the attachment bespoke, working directly on the watch itself.

I work exclusively by appointment at <a href="/pages/casati-booking">Casati Milano</a>, at Via XX Settembre 15 in Milan. I bring the watch to the bench, take measurements directly from the case, and study the geometry of the attachments before cutting a single millimetre of leather. There is no standard size: every piece is made for that specific watch.

I prefer alligator with a semi-gloss finish, in a warm cognac or deep bordeaux tone. Pink gold has a precise chromatic warmth, and those tones complement it without overpowering it. A strap that is too dark or too matte dulls the conversation with the case.

With minimal care — keeping it away from water, letting it breathe between wears — a well-constructed alligator strap lasts five to eight years of regular use. The leather ages, developing a patina that tells its own story. That is not a flaw: it is proof that the material is genuine.

Those screws are not decorative: they define the geometry of the entire octagonal case and set the visual proportions of the watch. When I build a bespoke attachment, I must respect that symmetry down to the last millimetre. An attachment that breaks that balance is immediately visible, and I simply will not accept it.
