Strap for Royal Oak 15306 Openworked Selfwinding Pink Gold / Diamond

The bracelet is integrated into the case: there is no standard lug to attach an off-the-shelf strap. It is a precise design decision by Genta, not a limitation to work around with adapters. In the atelier I build every strap directly on the watch, bespoke, respecting the original geometry.

I work by appointment only at <a href="/pages/casati-booking">Casati Milano</a>, at Via XX Settembre 15 in Milan. I bring the watch to the bench, take measurements directly from the case and study the attachment angles before cutting a single millimetre of leather. There are no preset measurements: every strap is born from that specific watch.

I prefer aged French Barenia. Pink gold has a warm, almost soft visual tone, and Barenia responds in the same way: it improves with time, gains character without ever becoming excessive. It is a leather that has the same patience as the watch it carries.

With minimal care — keeping it away from prolonged exposure to water and letting it breathe — a quality leather strap easily lasts five to seven years. The Barenia and Mississippi Alligator I use in the atelier do not degrade: they develop a patina. Over the years they become more personal, not worse.

In 1972 Genta drew a sports watch in steel — and later in gold — with an octagonal bezel secured by visible screws. It was a direct provocation against the taste of the time. I have seen many sports watches over the years at the bench, but few have that structural coherence: every element depends on the others, nothing is decorative by accident.
