I take measurements directly from the case at the workbench — no templates exist for this model. Every attachment is hand-shaped to follow the original octagonal geometry without any forcing.

I recommend Mississippi Alligator. Its natural texture speaks to the exposed hexagonal screws without overpowering them, and the leather develops a patina cleanly over time. White gold has a cool elegance: alligator in tobacco or midnight blue tones balances it without adding visual weight.

A strap built with first-choice leathers easily lasts eight to ten years with regular wear. The key is care: no direct water contact, a light application of neutral cream twice a year. Good leather does not deteriorate — it transforms, gaining character and becoming more personal over time.
