Frequently asked questions
Can a standard strap be fitted to the Royal Oak Offshore 26267FS.ZZ.D002CA.02?
No. The bracelet is integrated into the case: there is no standard lug to attach an off-the-shelf strap. The attachment is proprietary and forms part of the watch's architecture. If you want to change the strap, the only option is to have one built bespoke, directly on the watch.
How does the bespoke strap service work for this Royal Oak Offshore?
I work on this model exclusively through Casati Milano, my atelier at Via XX Settembre 15 in Milan, by appointment only. I take measurements from the actual case at the bench and craft each terminal by hand to ensure precise integration with the original hexagonal geometry. Remote work is not an option: physical contact with the piece is everything.
Which leather do I recommend for this model?
For a watch with a black ceramic and forged carbon case, my choice falls on vulcanised technical rubber or naturally aged Barenia leather. The rubber respects the sporting character of the piece and echoes the original rubber details. Barenia, on the other hand, creates an interesting tension: the warmth of the leather against the coldness of the ceramic. It depends on how you intend to wear it.
How long does a well-made strap last?
A strap made from quality leather and properly cared for will easily last seven to ten years of daily wear. Leather ages: it develops a personal patina that tells the story of time spent on the wrist. The only precaution is to keep it away from excess water and to condition it every few months with a neutral cream.
What sets the Royal Oak Offshore apart from the classic Royal Oak?
The Royal Oak Offshore was born in 1993 as a sportier, more robust version of Gérald Genta's original 1972 design. Compared to the classic, it pushes further in terms of size, technical materials and a more assertive visual character. This reference in ceramic and forged carbon takes that logic to its natural conclusion: a watch that makes no compromise between sport and technical ambition.
