The Royal Oak was introduced in 1972 as the first luxury sports watch in steel. This reference is equipped with the AP 2885 caliber featuring perpetual calendar, split-seconds chronograph, minute repeater and moon phase functions. The watch presents the characteristic octagonal case with exposed bezel and integrated bracelet of the original Gérald Genta design.
