Strap for (re)Master01 Stainless Steel / Pink Gold / Champagne

The bracelet is integrated into the case: there is no standard lug to attach a regular strap. This is not a limitation — it is a deliberate architectural choice by AP. In the atelier, I build the strap directly on the watch, bespoke, starting from the actual geometry of the attachment.

The appointment is booked at the atelier, at Via XX Settembre 15 in Milan. I bring the watch to the bench, study the integrated attachment and take every measurement from the physical case — no estimates, no templates. From there, I shape the fitting by hand, millimetre by millimetre, before beginning the strap construction.

For a bi-material case in steel and pink gold with this hybrid character, I choose Barenia with a natural patina. It ages with use, develops an authentic lived quality that works well with the contemporary yet warm aesthetic of this AP. I avoid overly polished leathers — they draw attention away from the case rather than accompanying it.

With quality leather and solid construction, I count on at least five or six years of regular wear. Care is straightforward: keep it away from prolonged water exposure and condition the leather occasionally with a neutral product. Barenia, in particular, does not deteriorate — it transforms, and over the years it becomes more interesting than when it left the atelier.

It means steel and pink gold are not simply placed side by side: the case is conceived as a single body in which the two metals are integrated into the form. On the wrist, the presence is strong but not heavy. For daily wear, this means the watch demands care in every detail that accompanies it — including the strap.
