Not a standard strap: the lug area is an integral part of the asymmetric oval case design, with curves and dimensions that correspond to no industry standard. A strap can be made — built to measure directly on the watch by <a href="/pages/casati-booking">Casati Milano</a>. This is the only approach that preserves the original architecture of the piece.

The watch is brought in person to the atelier, where the craftsman takes direct measurements of the lug attachment: depth, curvature, width at the case transition and at the keeper. A strap is then constructed with a fixing system tailored to that specific piece. No pre-existing patterns are used: every dimension is taken from the original watch.

The rose gold case pairs naturally with fine-grained leathers in warm tones: Louisiana alligator with a polished belly cut, Porosus crocodile in deep burgundy or burnt tobacco, or hand-patinated box-calf for a more contemporary register. A matching rose gold buckle or deployant closes the visual dialogue between strap and case without interruption.

A strap built from first-grade leather, with hand-finished edges and stitching in silk or waxed nylon thread, can last many years with ordinary care. Longevity depends on the type of leather, frequency of wear, and exposure to perspiration and moisture. A skilled craftsman can also carry out restoration or edge re-finishing over time.

The AP 2325 calibre is designed to be a visible protagonist of the dial: the balance wheel is positioned at the forefront at 9 o'clock, while the barrel occupies the upper area of the off-centred dial. This layout requires an internal geometry that directly justifies the oval case shape, making movement and case an inseparable system. Hours, minutes, seconds and date coexist in a composition where the mechanics are scenography as much as function.
