FKM — Fluoroelastomer
fluoroelastomero · viton · fluorocarbon
Definition
FKM, acronym for fluoroelastomer, is a family of synthetic rubbers with superior chemical, thermal, and aging resistance. It's the same material used by leading dive watch manufacturers for their premium rubber watch straps. It resists temperatures from -20°C to +200°C, salt water, oils, solvents, and UV rays without degradation. For me at Milano Straps, it represents the top choice for sports and diving straps—more costly than standard silicone or rubber, but with significantly greater durability.
The next step
The right strap isn't chosen. It is built, together.
From the atelier appointment to delivery, every step is made for those who know that things done well take time. Rare leathers, one piece at a time, eighteen months of warranty.
