Definition
Newlife® is a polyester yarn obtained from the mechanical recycling of post-consumer plastic bottles. The process, certified 100% Made in Italy, involves collecting bottles in Northern Italy, mechanical shredding—without chemical solvents—and transformation into high-quality polyester. Compared to virgin polyester, production consumes 60% less energy, emits 32% less CO₂, and uses 94% less water. At Milano Straps, I use it in our MSLabStraps line of eco-friendly NATO watch straps: two straps from one bottle.
