Polished
Definition
A mirror-like finish achieved through successive grinding and polishing operations that gives metal surfaces a bright, reflective appearance. In my workshop, I always distinguish between industrial and hand polishing: the latter, which I apply to my strap buckles, requires hours of patient work but delivers that depth of reflection only an artisan's hand can create. It's a finish that enhances the metal's beauty but demands more careful daily maintenance.
